ã€Abstract】 Objective To understand the relationship between emotion and selfconcept of the middle school students of Zang nationality who study in Shanghai, and to provide bases for Tiban students' mental counseling. Methods A total of 672 middle school students of Zang nationality were investigated by using the Depression Scale(CESD) and PiersHarris Children's Selfconcept Scale(PHSS). Results The incidence of depression was 14.5% in middle school students of Zang nationality. The scores of behavior and popular subscale of PHSS of male students were lower than those of female students. The score of physical appearance subscale of PHSS of male students was higher than those of female students. The total scores and other subscale of PHSS of students with depressive mood were lower than those of students without depressive mood, there were significant differences between them.
