  【摘要】 目的 了解贵阳市儿童少年死亡原因，提出对应预防措施，以有效降低儿童少年死亡率。方法 以街道办事处(乡、镇)为抽样单位，对2002-2004年贵阳市0～14岁儿童死因进行回顾性调查。结果 贵阳市0～14岁儿童少年死亡率为1.66‰，婴儿死亡率为12.42%，新生儿死亡占婴儿死亡的60.48%。伤害是0～14岁儿童的首要死因，其中溺水、交通事故、跌坠是伤害死亡的前3位原因。结论 贵阳市儿童死亡率较高。婴儿死亡率降低可降低儿童少年死亡率，有效控制伤害可降低儿童少年死亡率。
