ã€Abstract】 Objective To understand knowledge, attitude andpractice related smoking control of teachers among the three different stages education in Beijing. MethodsThree districts were selected separately from exurb, outskirts and urban areas in Beijing. A certain number of universities, secondary schools and Primary schools were randomly selected in each area. According to the list of teachers of each selected school, respondents were randomly selected. 743 questionnaires were valid. Results Male and female teachers' current smoking rate was 40.9% and 0.2% respectively. For male teachers who reported current smoking, 87.1% reported had smoked at work, 50.6% reported had smoked in front of students. The rates of reporting smoked at work and in front of students of male university teachers were 92.5% and 62.5%. The awareness rates of smoking / passive smoking was related to various respiratory diseases were above 80%, while the awareness rates of smoking was related to osteoporosis and male sexual dysfunction were 49.0% and 60.8%. Universities and secondary school teachers' knowledge about the hazards of tobacco were lower than primary school teachers.
