 [Abstract] Postoperative patients will generally have acute pain. This is a normal physiological defense response of the human body. However， some patients may experience postoperative chronic pain， causing pain to the patient and affecting their quality of life. This article has examined acute and chronic postoperative complications in the past 5 years. The literature on pain studies was analyzed and the progress of postoperative acute pain and postoperative chronic pain was analyzed and reviewed.
