[Abstract] Objective:To study the extraction of effective composition of Piper longum, and to observe the effects on the inflammation of auricles induced by dimethylbenzine in mice. Methods: Solvent extraction was used for the extraction of effective composition of Piper longum, we had got three parts of medical solution by petroleum ether and ethyl acetate extraction. The inflammation of auricle induced by dimethylbenzine in mice was used andmouse ear swelling was observed. Results:Swelling degree of right and left ears in mice which was given ethyl acetate extraction were similar to that was given dexamethasone. Conclusion:Piper longum extract has significant anti-inflammatory effect.
