ANCC certifications are developed based on US practice. Exams contain test questions that reflect US law and US nursing practice. They are not intended to assess the knowledge, skills and abilities of nurses who live and practice outside the United States.

To validate international credentials (license and education), applicants must present verification from CGFNS, http://www.cgfns.org/services/credentials-evaluation/ancc/.

Effective July 7th, 2017, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) maintains an exclusive partner for evaluating international credentials and licenses of nurses educated and licensed outside the US; CGFNS International, Inc.
