Abstract: [Objective] To investigate the status of infection caused by L-form of M. tuberculosis in patients with silico-tuberculosis and evaluate its clinical significance. [ Methods] Sputum culture for M. tuberculosis and its L-form was conducted in both groups of patients with silico-tuberculosis and silicosis, and IK(intensified Kinyoun) acid fast smear was used for further identification of infection with tu- berculosis. [Results] In silico-tuberculosis group of total 126 cases, culture positive rate of M. tuberculosis was 14% (18 cases), and that of L-form of M. tubercu]osis was 51% (64 cases), the difference was quite notable( P + 1
