[Abstract]Objective: To investigate the contents of total flavonoids, liquiritin, glycyrrhizic acid of cultivated licorice originated from different regions. Methods: The content of total flavonoids was determined by UV method and the contents of liquiritin and glycyrrhizic acid were determined by HPLC. Results: The content determination methods of total flavonoids, liquiritin and glycyrrhizic acid were established and the contents were performed determination for licorice originated from different regions. Conclusion:The methods were suitable to the assay of total flavonoids, liquiritin, glycyrrhizic acid, and provided providence for searching the better origin of the cultivated licorice, the contents of total flavnoids, liquiritin, glycyrrhzic aicd were the highest for triennialsample from Yinma Farm of Gansu province.
